Four O’clock - Alba

Description: A sparkling white selection for the evening garden, or wherever the purity of white blossoms and light green leaves is appreciated. The trumpet-shaped flowers are lightly citrus scented, and bloom in clusters all summer.

How to Plant: Gently loosen root ball. Plant at soil level.

How to Grow: Go easy on water. Drought tolerant once established.

Other: Four o' Clocks grow rapidly from their small football-shaped dark seeds. Of branching growth, they soon create a small shrub studded with masses of orange-blossom scented flowers that wait until dusk to open. Attract hummingbirds for their last sip of the day and pollinating moths by night–all summer long. If you want to overwinter the tuberous roots, dig them up in autumn and store in a reasonably dry medium, in a cool, dry, frost-free location, such as a garage or basement.
